Danish

It’s been a while since I last had a post about me learning Danish, but as recent important events changed took place, I saw fit to tell you about it. To be more precise, my last news were on my result from module 4 exam which I took in November. Since then, quite a few things happened.

First, I starting preparing myself for the next exam that takes place in May/June. It is the most important one (and hopefully and probably the last one) and also the first one that will be graded. For all the others I have only been informed if I passed or not. For some certain tests, where I had to give answers to various questions, they also told me how many I got right. But this one, apart from being graded, it is also the one required for citizenship (not that I can or want to apply for it… at least for now). This means that the exam is organized at national level and it only takes place twice a year. So it is a pretty big deal and I really hope I will pass it with a good grade. After that… if my grade is amazing, I can choose to carry on with module 6, which is required at university level, to either be a bachelor student or a full time teacher.

Second, I changed classes more than once. It seems that my former teacher Ane, who I was very pleased with, has a class which is preparing to take module 5 exam in winter, a tad later than what I plan to do. Therefore, we have been moved around. Most of my old group-mates (the ones who passed module 4 exam) and I have been placed in a new class with since the beginning of the year. It started fine, and then we didn’t see our new teacher much as she had a bike accident and got a leave. We ended up having a different vicar every single time. She then came back and I started knowing her a bit better, just to decide that I am not particularly happy that I’ve been moved from my old class. I thought though that I should give it a chance. But then I changed my mind when I found out that one of the others was moving back to Ane’s class. I decided to do the same, but as I want to have the exam this spring, I wasn’t really allowed to. Instead I was moved to another class, which I first attended today. And I am happy to say that, after the first encounter, I am very delighted with my new teacher. If things will change… you’ll hear about it!
